  1. So I'm reading Yesterday and I come to Matthew 23:8-12. And I'm like...whoa....is Jesus telling us not to call our brothers and sisters in Christ Teacher, Master, Rabbi or Father. Is Jesus teaching no Titles. It really seems like it. What about the titles of Bishop, Apostle, Evangelist, Minister and Pastor. Then I started thinking about a passage I had already read in Matthew 15:1-9, where it talks about breaking the command of God for tradition. And it comes up again in Mark 7:8. I know in the scripture it says give Honor where Honor is do, but if you read that in context isn't Paul teaching about the government and not about the church? So like...did we miss something?

  3. Mark 8: 12He sighed deeply and said, "Why does this generation ask for a miraculous sign? I tell you the truth, no sign will be given to it."

I noticed that in Mark Jesus did alot of sighing... How many times has He sighed at us??? How many times because of our LACK of faith has the Lord just sighed??? O you of little faith!!! Is He not God??? WHY does He keep having to remind us of that!?

His sighing hit me so hard this morning... Forgive us Lord for disappointing you Lord to the point of just a sigh...

  5. I def think were missing something.

in context, does he intruct us not to use those titles on our brothers and sisters bc that's the titles of Jesus?

But doesn't Paul use those titles in the church?

I also see how they are so distracting..like first lady this/armor bearor/ senior pastor/ bishop/ deacon and deconess, 1st usher.. we take it so overboard.

Its interesting that you bring up that part verse in Mark. I kept reading this over and over..trying to figure out what it meant.

Matthew 12:38-42 (anybody pull something out of this?)
38Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him, "Teacher, we want to see a miraculous sign from you."
39He answered, "A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 41The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now one[e] greater than Jonah is here. 42The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon's wisdom, and now one greater than Solomon is here.

And this sign, like demonstrated the nature of God, a reflection of his heart. Also, was an illistrationof Jesus' death and ressurection. Entering into a NEW era, Jesus is Better, and He is Here.

Matthew 15:3,That hit me hard too.. " Why do you break the command of God for the sake of tradition." its so easy to be caught up in lip service, but in reality its about the heart.

what's the REALITY of the situation???

The enemy has no new tricks!

I feel like the Lord sighed at me this morning.

We can't drag the old season into the new..

We have to be proactive and to be sure to pray against the stuff that we've already "conquered" ..Pray against our weaknesses when we are strong not only, when we are in completely weighed down by it.

Why do we forget what he's already said.. ugh!
over and over and over and over ..
