We had our first JUICE Meeting (Maryland) yesterday. Helen brought the grapes, Chan brought the Pineapples and Jesus brought his presence. As we shared juice and stories of how God had led us all to this point of fasting for 30 days, there was a sense of unity and closeness in the room. Many of us had just met for the first time, however I felt this peace and friendship, in the room.
This is a little bit what I pulled from each one of you:
Helen's energy was invigorating.
Sabrina's openness was motivating.
Chanali's encouraging word's were soothing.
Kira's spirit was so sweet and humble.
Beth's contemplativeness was inspiring.
Perry's words of wisdom were powerful.
We talked, laughed, encouraged each other, opened our hearts and prayed. It was SUCH A GOOD NIGHT! I thank God for bringing us together. If you want to host next week's JUICE MEETING please contact me!

ReplyDeleteSo family, what are some reasons that the Lord called you to this fast specifically, like outside of the 4 main reasons posted in the packet?
One main reason for my joining this fast, was well (1) I felt a fast coming on, and when I heard about it, my Spirit bared complete witness with it. (2) There has been a shift in the atmosphere, and a completely new season that I'm not familiar with. For the past year, I have been sensing things begin to be shaken up, and I really need to HEAR The Lord. Our flesh can be so distracting. Sometimes, I get so frustrated, like, what in the world am I doing, or supposed to be doing. Or feeling like, darnit i missed it again! ugh!!! (3) Discipline. After reading this book, " Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life, I've seen the importance of Bible Intake in life, and esp Prayer. This area has been a real struggle for me. Please keep me lifted!
It's amazing though, how while you are reading the scriptures, you can Hear the voice of God.. Or how He will highlight things, and they will literally jump off the page. I was on a cruise ship during the first few days of this fast. And the last day I experienced something so grand, it was His Marvelous Light! ah! I was reading..and then I came across Isaiah 40:12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens. And as I gazed out into the expanse of the waters..and saw the sun coming up , it nearly knocked me on the floor! MY GOD IS SO BIG! ah!!! He never ceases to amaze..
I heard this was a blast! Wish I couldve come, my avaiabiity is not the best when it comes to evenings, but I pray that eventually I will make it to one!
