So I was thinking about fasting and praying and how they go hand in hand. And during prayer time today, God revealed to me that When you fast without praying with expectancy, it's like Him saying 'You've got my attention...now what?" God takes note when we fast, however if we don't consecrate this time of fasting with expectant prayer, we are essentially wasting our time. God called us to fasting and prayer for purpose. To use our weapons to prepare ourselves and to arm ourselves for battle. To be equipped and to WIN!
The Bible talks about how we have not because we ask not-what changes could already be happening if we were intentional in our time of prayer and fasting? What things could be reconciled? What burdens removed or yokes destroyed if we simply too the time to offer up those things during a season of fasting and praying?
So ask yourselves,
Now that you've got His attention...what are you going to do with it?
