  1. Pruning (discipline) sounds painful, but it is necessary to remain in the vine (Jesus). I am glad God prunes me instead of letting me rely on my own devices.

  2. yes ms. Joan, that's so true! It actually can be Pinful, but it's worh it. Just like fire for refining.. if we imaine, fire is hot, it burns, but it changes the object being fired , and when it comes out, its much better, and more useful. it's closer to it's destiny after pruning/refining. Praise God for the pruning! It's so worth it :)

  3. It is such a wonderful reminder of the humility that we should all have. We can produce nothing in and of ourselves. If someone gets a healing it wasn't you it was the God in you, if you speak a prophetic word it was God, If you respond to your enemies with love it was God, If you preach and someone gets saved it was God. Everything that we "do" that produces is because God makes us fruitful. We have the fruit of the spirit by the spirit. All glory to God.

  4. Yes Ms. Chris, that's exactly it and pruning is so worth it Ashley. This scripture has been so appropriate for me because I've been trying to sanctify myself and I keep falling flat on my face and God, through this scripture and others about righteousness revealed to me that is what I was doing. Our righteousness comes from Christ and our fruitfulness is of the Holy Spirit. I love it.
