This is what I say: down with self-confidence. it is something that is encouraged and celebrated, but we must have Godfidence!!(excuse my corniness) Self confidence is depending on flesh for your strength...which is a curse according to Jeremiah 17:5.
By nature we put our trust in the flesh, that fails us all the time. God never fails. But inorder to trust in Him, we must have faith that goes beyond our human understanding. We can't do it on the human level. But with the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit we can.
I'm currently learning what it means to be Confident in the Lord. Kinda puts you on the edge of no return. Lord give me the strength to take the leap of faith.

this keeps coming up , over and over fro me..TRUST the LORD>. why is that concept so hard to grasp sometimes..
