I went to a bible study on Monday night and we spoke about the importance of knowing what is the righteousness of God. When I read Ephesians 2 the next day it pretty much outlined what we spoke about in the bible study. There is a continuation of Ephesians 1 which allows us to know that we are sealed and guaranteed when we have received the Holy Spirit. To me the word sealed means sealed. I didn't make myself sealed but its the sacrifice of Christ that makes me the righteousness of God. This is my God-given position, not my earned status. Ephesians 2 warns me about the attitude of condemnation and self-righteousness when it comes to non-believers. Also that I am joined to the body of Christ solely by this sacrifice and specifically the actions of Christ which says, "Now you are a part of THIS family"
