MEMORY: Joshua 1:8-9

THIS WEEK'S MEMORY SCRIPTURE IS: JOSHUA 1:8-9

8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

  1. In times like these, when the enemy is using more clever attacks, like through the TV, computers, music, ads.,etc.., We need to have the WORD of God in our being so that we know when we are being attacked. A person at church told me that I was suppose to be doing something in the "church building." (I am engaged in an activity outside of the chruch building that I know that God has called me to do.) This is an attack by a person who thinks that if you are not doing something in the "church building" you are not in the body of Christ. I know from the WORD that this is faulty thinking and false teaching. It seeems right, but its not. This is a simple example but if you are not meditating on the WORD, people can and will mislead you from what God has called you to do.
I am so thankful that God is with me wherever I go and gives be the strength to stand on the WORD.
